Mars Edit

I just learned that Mars Edit got acquired by red sweater software. I really like Mars Edit, blog posting software that uses blog API's like the MetaWeblog API to post and edit content. I find managing multiple blogs a lot easier with a desktop application.

After Ranchero got acquired by NewsGator, Mars Edit's future looked bleak. I bought MarsEdit and didn't want to have to explore new options to do this. Happily just a few days after announcing the acquisition and red sweater has already posted a minor update that's mostly branding changes but also fixes one of the most irritating bugs in the old release, the image flickering in preview bug. I'm glad this software has a new lease on life.
