Fear is a blank sheet of paper
July 16, 2009
Robert Ballard, renowned oceanographer, explorer and discoverer of the Titanic, was on Science Friday on July 3rd. I particularly enjoyed this exchange around 30:30.
Ira Flatow: What's it like to have to be your own salesperson? You're an entrepreneur you've spent your whole life having to sell your ideas and then get them...
Robert Ballard: Yeah but then you get to live them. I think that comes with the turf. If you really want to be free, you're going to be alone. Most people say they want to be free but real freedom is you wake up and it's a blank sheet of paper, and most people would like to have it written.
