Frustration

I've moved grazr.com to another server temporarily, but of course DNS entries will take up to 24-48 hours to propagate. Grazr's scaling and server architecture is actually pretty robust (IMHO) but it all depends on grazr.com not going away. The hosting guys are completely flaky and haven't once bothered to make ammends for their terrible uptime.

I never liked the idea of hosted servers "out somewhere in space". I don't like the idea of servers that I couldn't actually walk up to and yank a network card or push the reset button and this fiasco has just strengthened that conviction. If I hear "the datacenter is looking into it, thanks for your patience" one more time I'm going to whip someone with some Cat-6 cable.
